Austin Fetch

Austin Fetch is a Wealth Advisor & self-branded “Resident Nerd” at Oxford Retirement & Estate Planning (OREP). He started in the finance industry as an intern at Ameriprise Financial in 2014 at 20 years old. His responsibilities began with simply bringing the filing system digital but grew quickly to include portfolio design & management as well as holistic financial planning for many clients. When he moved to Arizona, he took a position at Charles Schwab where he helped design streamlined training material and information systems for new professionals. Shortly before leaving, he was awarded the Chairman’s Club award in-part for his work transitioning team members to working from home during the pandemic. Austin has always had an emphasis on education in the field of finance, starting with himself. He started by obtaining a Bachelor of Science with three majors: Finance, Accounting, & Business Administration. This made him the first in his lineage to graduate with a 4-year degree. He passed two separate, lengthy, securities licensing exams to become an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR). He is also very proud to note he obtained & maintains his CFP® certification, a standard of excellence for financial planners. Lastly, Austin holds life, annuity, health, & disability insurance licenses. Austin now holds adult financial education workshops around the Phoenix metropolitan area, & offers complimentary, one-on-one coaching sessions to those in need of guidance. His main objective is to help those nearing retirement make informed retirement decisions by cutting through the confusing jargon of the industry and making quality advice accessible for all those that need it. Though originally born in the cold tundra of North Dakota, Austin now resides in sunny North Phoenix with his wife Irene. They recently celebrated the birth of their first child, Milo, and couldn’t be happier to be new parents. Austin has two small dogs and loves to take them to the dog park and on hikes around the valley. He also enjoys snowboarding and video games when he can find time to do so. Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. (CFP Board) owns the certification marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and CFP® (with plaque design) in the United States, which it authorizes use of by individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
